Ignazio Arces is a distinguished leader in the energy sector.  He has been working for Eni since 1999 and is currently a Senior Manager of Eni Energy Evolution Business Group. With a career marked by transformative leadership roles, Ignazio has been pivotal in the success of Gela’s biorefinery, converting an old industrial site into a modern energy hub. He has also navigated complex challenges in energy transition across five Refineries in Italy (Eni) and UAE (ADNOC).

Ignazio’s academic background is as impressive as his professional journey. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, an Advanced Certificate for Executives in Management, Innovation, and Technology from MIT Sloan, and a Master’s in Politics and Management of the Middle East and North Africa from LUISS University.

In 2024, Ignazio’s commitment to sustainable practices and innovation in the energy sector was recognized when he was honored as the Sustainability Hero of the Year in Europe by the Stevie® International Business Awards.
